Chiromo Environmental Awareness Club during their visit at Watu Wa Maana Children’s Home in Ruiru

Chiromo Environmental Awareness Club (CEAC) is actively involved in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as part of helping the poor and the needy children in the society. On May 6, 2017, CEAC visited Watu Wa Maana Children’s Home based in Ruiru. Watu Wa Maana has a total of 41 children ranging from nursery to class eight. One’s a child makes it to high school he/she doesn’t stay at the children’s home but is supported through payment of school fee and pocket money. This was a platform to CEAC to interact with children, help them with some of their daily chores and offering them words of encouragement as they strive for the best from the little they have.

During the event, the CEAC fraternity appreciated the efforts of the College particularly the office of the Principal and the assistant dean of students’ Madam Lucy Jiomba and club Patron Prof Nathan Gichuki for the financial support that enabled the club to conduct the event successfully.
