The College was ranked the best by the performance contracting team of the University of Nairobi.   At a celebration held at Jeevanjee Garden in the College, the College Principal, Prof. Bernard Aduda, said that the College was not only celebrating because of excellence performance posted, but it was celebrating hard work and effort of everyone in the College.

He stated that “the CBPS staff and students are hard workers and peace loving”. The College has produced the best overall student a number of times who have been honored to give valedictory speeches at the graduation ceremony. Besides, our students have participated in extra-curricular activities such as the Mazingira Challenge where Chiromo Environmental Awareness Club retained the winning trophy in 2016, after three years of consecutive victory. The overall student participation and activities in the College contributed to better ranking of the College.

The Principal emphasized that the College should strive to maintain the excellent performance owing to the fact that the goals have been raised even higher for the 2016/2017 Performance Contract (PC) targets. This shows that each one should work even harder to maintain the College position at the top.

The roles of Directors, Management, Chairmen of Departments, Section Heads and the PC Secretariat were also appreciated for their contribution towards better College PC performance by the Principal.

Also present during the occasion was Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research, Production and Extension, Prof. Lucy Irungu who observed that being number one was not an easy task - it requires everyone to work hard for a common goal. She further posited that the College has produced the highest number of PhDs, postgraduate students, and it should keep up the good work.
