Minimum Admission Requirements:

  1. KCSE (Mean C+) or its equivalent with minimum grade C+ in Biology/ Biological Sciences, Chemistry/Physical Sciences;
  2. Advanced Level Certificate (EAACE or KACE) with two Principal passes; or
  3. Higher National Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Science with a credit passes; or
  4. Science/Technology Diploma from Teachers Training Colleges or equivalent qualifications, in sciences with a credit pass
  5. A Degree from a recognized university.
  6. And any other relevant criteria listed in the General Admissions Criteria.

  1. KCSE (Mean C+) or its equivalent with grade B in Mathematics (B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry requires minimum KCSE C+ in Chemistry or Physical Sciences, Physics and Mathematics; B.Sc. Microprocessor Technology and Instrumentation, Meteorology requires KCSE C+ in Mathematics and Physics while Geology requires C+ in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Geography or a minimum grade of C+ in Mathematics and B- in Physical Science.
  2. Advanced Level Certificate (EAACE or KACE) with two Principal passes; or
  3. Higher National Diploma in Science courses, Education (Science), Computer Studies, Statistics or Applied Sciences; or
  4. A Degree from a recognized university.Alternative

Minimum Admission Requirement for B.Sc. Meteorology:

  1. World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Class III Certificate (Distinction Pass)
  2. WMO Class II Certificate (Pass)
  3. Dip. Ed. (Science) pass or equivalent with minimum C+ in Mathematics and Physics
  4. And any other relevant criteria listed in the General Admissions Criteria.

  2. Advanced Level Certificate: Two principal passes one of which must be in Mathematics or Physics and a subsidiary pass with a Credit pass in Physics at ‘O’ level; or
  3. Diploma in Computer Studies or equivalent from a recognized institution with a pass at credit level; or
  4. Higher Diploma in Computer Studies or equivalent from a recognized institution; or
  5. Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  6. And any other relevant criteria listed in the General Admissions Criteria.

  1. KCSE (Mean C) with minimum C in the following Cluster subjects : Mathematics, Physics, Second Group II or any group III or any remaining subject.
  2. Advanced Level Certificate: Two principal passes one of which must be in Mathematics or Physics and a subsidiary pass with a Credit pass in Physics at ‘O’ level; or
  3. Diploma in Computer Studies or equivalent from a recognized institution
  4. Higher Diploma in Computer Studies or equivalent from a recognized institution; or
  5. Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
