THE CHIROMO CAMPUS PEER EDUCATORS ANNUAL TRIP
At last the eagerly awaited day came. It was on the 11th May, 2013. The Peer Counselors
would mark the end of the academic year in style. They were to go to Ngong hills for a
hike and thereafter a grand luncheon at Ngong Florida inn.
The trip had been masked with a few disappointments. The chief being the abrupt
change of dates. Initially, the group had organised to have the hike on 4th May 2013. This
was however not possible as the campus administration had not released funds to
finance the hike. The trip was postponed to 11th May. This again would not augur well
with members as they had exams from 7th to 17th May. The officials however decided
that the trip would be done. Members were urged to come with their friends even non
The bus to Ngong set off at about 9.30a.m and arrived at about 11.00am.The Ngong
hills looked inviting and lured the peer educators to climb and play their games from the
summit. As the games continued, the peer counselors became more carefree and open to
each other. Formality was forgotten and they played as they laughed their hearts out. It
was indeed fun galore!
