CBPS Newsletter January 2018

First issue of the year is out! Grab your online copy of the CBPS Newsletter.

Get to know about the student organization that is taking student leadership by a storm and shaping students’ character, pioneered by a fourth year student from CBPS.

For students interested to be fit for the corporate environment, you need to join the skills-set training , absolutely free of charge, done according to the flexibility of your time. This is the Ready-To-Work Program.

Two important courtesy calls in 2017 will contribute towards enhancing Meteorology courses and collaborations for application of scientific research in Climate Change. Get to read about emanating visits from Secretary General, World Meteorological Organization (WMO) as well as a team from Harvard University Centre for African Studies.

Also included is Prof. Raphael Munavu’s interview, Chancellor Laikipia University and former Vice-Chancellor Moi University. Prof. Munavu talks of the exposure that students need; among them sharing competencies across disciplines as well as the University’s role in policy creation.

In addition, get to read students’ farewell tributes to the Don of Computer Science, Prof. William Okello-Odongo, following his demise late last year.

Read this and more stories in the College of Biological and Physical Sciences Newsletter.
