First years Biometric registration capturing finger print, student photo and document scanning, at the College of Biological and Physical Sciences

At least 561 freshers have joined the College of Biological and Physical Sciences, University of Nairobi.

The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education 2017 candidates, have been absorbed in the four schools of the College, with the most number of students registered under Physical Sciences courses.

The 561 represents 60% of the expected students’ intake in September 2018.

PMC members and candidates and pre-candidates of Samoei girls in Narok County


On June 16th, 2018, the Peer Mentors Club (PMC) partnered with local graduates from MOI University and JKUAT and conducted a very successful mentorship program for both candidates and pre-candidates of Samoei girls and Kiptenden primary schools in Narok west Sub County.

Graduate receiving an award during the University of Nairobi Annual Prize Giving day held at Taifa Hall on April 27,2018

Being an excellent academic student will not just earn you a degree at the end of your academic life, but it will also earn you recognition and an award, if not many awards. These awards range from financial awards, to gold medals, internships and certificates.

16 graduates emanating from College of Biological and Physical Sciences, University of Nairobi have been recognized for their outstanding academic excellence.

First class honors’ and overall student in the College in 2013/2014, Elias Ndaru Kivuti, bagged three awards from: Gandhi Smarak Nidhi Trustee Fund, Unilever Kenya Limited and University of Nairobi Alumni Association.

Mr. Ndaru, an Industrial Chemistry graduate, collectively received a financial award of Ksh. 30,000  for attaining best final year student in the School of Physical Science (SPS).

Sports Captains in Chiromo Campus with trophies won during University of Nairobi's 2018 Annual Sports Day

Games captains in the College officially handed over seven trophies won in the coveted Annual Sports day held at the University of Nairobi on February 28, 2018. A first of its kind, the University has consistently held tournaments within and outside campus, with students and staff represented in regional and international games over the past years, but this year, the University commenced a tradition that will repeatedly be held to esteem the physical skills and talents of staff and students, at the Annual Sports Day.
