First year orientation at the College of Biological and Physical Sciences

Students have been advised to maintain great discipline and avoid being career students as they embark on their journey as first years at the University of Nairobi. The College of Biological and Physical Sciences (CBPS) already enrolled 900 students in the 2016/2017 academic year during the first year September 2016 intake.

Prof. Shem Wandiga with delegates from University of Helsinki and College of Biological and Physical Sciences staff

A team from University of Helsinki, Finland visited the College of Biological and Physical Sciences as part of their mission to strengthen cooperation.  The team had earlier visited the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi where the two institutions renewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was initially signed in 2011. Prof. Petri Pellikka, Faculty of Science, University of Helsinki, whose interest is centered on the impact of land cover change on livelihoods, was happy to get an opportunity to visit the College and was eager to see ties between the two universities deepen for mutual benefit.
