Prof. Wandiga Ag. Director Institute for Climate Change and Adaptation receives signed 2017/2018 Performance Contract from Prof. Bernard Aduda, Principal College of Biological and Physical Sciences

The Institute for Climate Change and Adaptation is set to increase its number of researchers and journal publications in 2017/2018 as signed in the new year Performance Contract on August 3, 2017.

Additionally, the Institute will be conducting exit graduand surveys for its students. Further, there will be regular review of its strategic plan as documented and signed in the 2017/2018 performance contract.

Earlier this year my two other colleagues and I started a mentorship program at the university that has seen over 50 girls change their perspective about computer science and technology field at large. Our commitment and good work has been rewarding with each day having a new member into the community making us 59 ladies all in technology field.

A fourth year student digitally signs on a signature pad in a demonstration on how biometric registration will be conducted for incoming first years who will be reporting in September 2017

All is set for incoming first years who will be the pioneer students to be registered using Biometric registration. The 2016 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates will be the first students admitted and registered using the Biometric system in September 2017, at the University of Nairobi.

Earlier last year on November, 2015 I participated in the Europe, Middle East and Africa Women TechMakers competition. Honestly, I never wanted to participate but then my good friend convinced me to, so I decided to participate. So the requirement for participation was to fill an online form, submit your school transcripts , get referees to write good things about you and the most difficult part was writing 4 essays on different topics which were outlined.
